Elmer Flick was destined for stardom the minute he stepped on to the field for his first professional appearance. Flick was dubbed "The Demon of the Stick" after cracking a game-winning homerun for Youngstown in 1896. Flick's likeness is featured in this 8 1/2x10 1899-1900 Sporting News Supplements M-101. The item presents very well in a BGS 1.5 holder. The photo does have a pair of pinholes on the top of the front along with several stains throughout, but the item is still clearly intact. The front says Supplement to The Sporting News St. Louis Mo. Nov. 11 '99. It also shows a vibrant portrait of Flick's likeness and states rightfielder, Boston, 1899. The back has an artdeco type feel to it and has a 3x6 box that features all of his career highlights. Here's a nice chance to own a piece of Hall of Fame history.
