The 1956 Milwaukee Braves were a year away from a World Championship and back-to-back pennants. This autographed ball captures the Braves on the verge of greatness, with signatures from key stars including Hank Aaron and Warren Spahn, as well as slugger Joe Adcock and the hard-to-find Frank Torre.

From July 13th through September 15th, the Braves were in first place, but the World Champion Dodgers were intent on defending their crown and overtook Milwaukee on September 17th. The two teams were nose-to-nose during the final 9 games of the season, with Milwaukee dropping two of its three final games to the Cardinals to finish just a single game behind The Boys of Summer in their final pennant winning season in Brooklyn. The Dodgers last hurrah was short lived as they fell to the Yankees in October. The Braves, on the other hand, needed to only wait until next year to taste October champagne. Use this ball as a memory of a hard-fought season and the springboard to the greatest era in Milwaukee baseball.
