The backdrop of this great looking card shows the best Cub of his time crossing the plate after smacking one of the 44 long balls that he stroked during the '55 season. The rest of the card is equally exciting as the beautiful portrait of the star shows a hungry young player ready to make his mark on the world. Well deserving of its Mint grade as the cards aesthetics are very strong and are backed up by bright white borders and strong corners. Of the 698 Gray Back 1956 Ernie Banks cards (opposed to the much more common White Back version, which has 2,083 total) graded by PSA, only five have reached the lofty plateau of Mint 9, with no 10s!
