The year this card was issued, 1956, Luis Aparicio was awarded the American League Rookie of the Year. Aparicio was elected to seven consecutive All-Star games and won eight Gold Gloves. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1984. A beautiful copy of his rookie card is offered here in Mint condition. All four corners are Mint and untouched. A slight rough cut shows very little handling and does not interfere with the pristine corners. The card is bright with outstanding color and chalk-white borders. The reverse is unblemished and centered. An outstanding 9 that reaches the upper echelon of the Mint grade. A total of 2,080 of these have been graded by PSA, with only two graded higher.
