The current high bids for the cumulative group of singles, $161,477.00, is currently higher than the total for the complete set, $139,015.00 (this lot is currently winning)
The ’56 Topps Rizzuto features a classic image of Scooter turning the double play against the Dodgers in the ’55 World Series. While the Dodger player’s number has obviously been changed, the baserunner is without question No. 39, Roy Campanella, making the card all the more desirable. Only two Gray Back Rizzuto singles have been graded higher.
