Many do not know that at one time St. Louis, Missouri actually had a professional basketball team. When the Milwaukee Hawks relocated to St. Louis after the 1955 season, Pettit continued his dominating play on the court. He averaged 25.7 points and 16.2 rebounds per game. He was selected to the 1956 All Star team and won MVP honors after the game. He was the first player in history to receive the MVP award for his play during the 1955-56 season. Pettit is a Hall of Famer and a member of the "50 Greatest Players in NBA History." This 1961 Fleer card has been graded a stunning PSA 9 MINT, and is one of only ten to achieve such a grade. None are graded higher.
